English
PicBoard Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This policy applies to the PicBoard iOS application. PicBoard arranges photos, creates long images, and organizes captions locally on your device.
2. Information Processed
2.1 Photos and Photo Library Access
With your permission, PicBoard accesses the photos, albums, and favorites you authorize so you can select images, generate thumbnails, arrange grids, and create composite images. Generated images are saved to your Photo Library only when you request an export.
- Photo content is accessed and processed on your device through Apple's Photos framework and is not uploaded to the developer.
- Drafts store system photo asset identifiers to locate selected photos later; original photo files are not copied into the app database.
- If iCloud Photos is enabled, Apple may retrieve photo resources according to your device and iCloud settings. Apple operates that process.
2.2 Drafts and Local Data
PicBoard stores draft captions, timestamps, photo arrangement data, photo asset identifiers, and a local cache of Pro entitlement status on your device. This data restores your drafts and app functionality and is not sent to the developer.
2.3 Purchases
PicBoard uses Apple StoreKit for a one-time in-app purchase and purchase restoration. Apple processes payments, Apple ID information, and transactions. The app receives product information and verified entitlement status only to unlock Pro features. The developer does not receive your card details, complete payment credentials, or Apple ID password.
2.4 Clipboard
When you request an export, PicBoard may copy the caption you entered to the system clipboard. It is not sent to the developer. Copying occurs only after your action, and you can overwrite the clipboard by copying other content.
3. Collection, Sharing, and Tracking
PicBoard does not operate a server that receives app data, does not collect data for tracking, does not sell personal information, and does not share your photos, captions, or usage data with advertising networks, analytics providers, or other third parties. PicBoard does not engage in cross-app or cross-website tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
4. Apple Services and Third Parties
PicBoard uses Apple system services including Photos, iCloud Photos when enabled, and StoreKit/App Store. Apple may process relevant information under its own privacy policy. PicBoard currently includes no third-party advertising, analytics, social sign-in, or cloud storage SDK.
5. Permissions and Your Choices
- Photos: Limit, change, or revoke access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → PicBoard. Features that depend on Photos may stop working.
- Local drafts: Delete drafts in the app. Uninstalling the app normally removes drafts and settings in its local container.
- Exported images: Images saved to Photos remain independently and are not removed when you uninstall PicBoard. Delete them in the Photos app.
- Clipboard: Copying occurs only after your export action. You can overwrite the clipboard by copying other content.
6. Retention and Deletion
Local drafts and settings remain until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall PicBoard. Because this information is not uploaded to developer servers, the developer cannot remotely view or delete it for you. Contact us if you need help understanding deletion options.
7. Security
PicBoard relies on the iOS sandbox, system permissions, and Apple security mechanisms to protect local data. No system is absolutely secure, but we follow data-minimization principles and address known security issues when identified.
8. Children's Privacy
PicBoard does not knowingly collect personal information from any user, including children. If future features change our data practices, we will update this policy before implementation and apply appropriate safeguards.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The revised policy and effective date will be published on this page. We will provide additional notice when appropriate for material changes.
